ETHIOPIA - OUR DIVINE HERITAGE:

AS EXPLAINED BY ATO SOLOMON WOLFE, OUR REVERED ELDER AND FOUNDING MEMBER OF LOCAL 43 IN JAMAICA, HIS IMPERIAL MAJESTY, HAILE SELASSIE I, IN HIS INFINITE WISDOM,  GRANTED ALL BLACK PEOPLE IN THE DIASPORA DIVINE HERITAGE RIGHTS TO SETTLE IN ETHIOPIA.  WE ARE HONORED THAT THE ETHIOPIAN WORLD FEDERATION WAS GIVEN THE RESPONSIBILITY TO ADMINISTER THIS  WORTHY TASK, GUIDED BY THE CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS THAT WERE PREPARED BY H.I.M.SELF.

Acts chp. 8 verse 27; " And he arose and went: and, behold a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship...".

verse 38: " And he commanded the chariot to stand still; and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him".

The prophet Mohammed sought and received refuge in Ethiopia, because his people did not accept his vision of Islam.....

The ancient cultural heritage of the Black race is preserved in Ethiopia.

The Ethiopian World Federation Inc. has been given the task to promote that fact to the race.

Welcome to Black people’s Divine Heritage.

First, we will look at some documented facts in the Holy Bible, Encyclopedia and Dictionary.

Isaiah 9 verses 6&7; "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, the everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever. The zeal of the Lord of Hosts will perform this."

Genesis 49 verse 10; "The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be."

Editorial Comment:

For the complete human family, no day is as glorious on the calendars of the world as April 21, 1966, when Rastafarians celebrate the visit of King Rastafari to the Caribbean. On this happy day each year, we try to forget our worries and endeavor to alleviate those of our loved ones and supporters. We forgive those who have wronged us and only meditate on the visit of the Supreme One, Emperor Haile Selassie I (literal meaning of His name is the First Power of the Holy Trinity, which is to say God The Father).

From early childhood we meditate on the unfathomable mystery, simple yet sublime, which stirs up our faith in the birth of the Almighty Child. The mystery of the second coming of His Imperial Majesty (H.I.M) reveals itself in our spirit. The more we advance on the path of life, and the more we realize the magnitude of our mission in this world, be it humble or noble, arduous or thankless, the more fascinating life becomes.

A miraculous event, expected for twenty centuries, has at last been accomplished; the Almighty Child is born again. The hearts of the wise are thrilled by this Majestic humility, and Rastafarians bend our knees before His Imperial Majesty, Emperor Haile Selassie I, and worship H.I.M. as Jah Ras Tafari, the Almighty Creator.

"Peace on earth, goodwill to all mankind" is His first message. In the same manner, when He went to the summit of Calvary, to expiate for our sins with the supreme sacrifice, He gave up His last breath invoking forgiveness for His very tormentors: "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do".

Pondering the first coming of the Almighty Child; the goodness, humility, and sacrifice of the Savior of the world, and looking at the guidance and help the Almighty Child gives us in His second coming, we should be ashamed to call ourselves enlightened people and yet not follow in His footsteps. Had we been worthy of the name, unity would have reigned in all the mansions of our Father’s House. We would have risen to the level of immortal children of H.I.M., who always glorify the true and living GOD, Haile Selassie I, and the governments of the world, for example, gathered in the United Nations Organization, where hostilities may, and do occur, would no longer remain divided.

It is the result of twenty centuries of Ethiopian Christian civilization which threatens to fall to pieces. Then it will be the return to the law of the jungle, and the return to barbarism. Nevertheless; Happy Rastafari Day to all Rasta children and please remember in your prayers, those weak and oppressed peoples who have turned their confident gaze towards the Green, Gold, and Red banner of Liberation, as if to discern the Conquering Lion of Judah announcing "Redemption and Peace".

Genesis 2 verse 13; "And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia".

Jeremiah 13 verse 23; "Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil".

Webster’s New 20th Century Dictionary of the English Language, Unabridged 2nd Edition - 1968, Page 627.

Ethiopian: (2) Loosely, a negro.

Same Webster’s Dictionary, Dictionary of scripture proper names, page 90.

Ethiopia: Burnt Faces.

1 Kings 1 verse 33; "The King also said unto them, Take with you the servants of your lord, and cause Solomon my son to ride upon mine own mule, and bring him down to Gihon".

verse 38; "So Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, went down, and caused Solomon to ride upon King David’s mule, and brought him to Gihon".

verse 45; "And Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet have anointed him King in Gihon; and they are come up from thence rejoicing, so that the city rang again. This is the noise that ye have heard". (The relevance here is that someone can only be crowned King in his own country. Solomon was required to be crowned King in Africa (Gihon) even though he was then living in Jerusalem.)

Psalms 87 verse 4; "I will make mention Rahab and Babylon to them that know me: behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this man was born there".

Question: To whom is the author referring?

Encyclopedia Britannica 1768, page 790. Quoting Homer on the Ethiopian: "They are the furthest of mankind; The Gods go to their Banquets and probably the sun sets in their country. Herodotus divides them into two main groups, a straight-haired race and a wolly-haired race. (Ethiopia Ancient) is not merely a geographical term, it also refers to a race of people.

Ethiopia, the only Black Country and Government that has never been conquered, has preserved black people’s Heritage culture and a recorded history.

Ethiopia’s black alphabet is one of the oldest in the world, and could be used to record all the languages in Africa that presently use a foreign alphabet. Black people around the world needs to become familiar with their unique alphabet and languages of Ethiopia. Quoting H.I.M. Haile Selassie I "The work of rehabilitating a people who had experienced moral breakdown, and whose culture had been undermined, required going back and revisiting what had happened. It is only then that one understands that everything needs to be started from scratch...Autobiography, Vol.2.

This is necessary because the mother tongue has been annihilated out of the Black Race outside of Ethiopia. Ethiopia, one of the oldest Christian Kingdoms in the world, has preserved the right of the people to practice the religion of their choice, quoting H.I.M. "Religion is personal, the state is for all". The Monarchs of Ethiopia had the title " He who maintains order between Christians and Muslims", conferred on them. Judaism, Christianity and Islam have existed in Ethiopia from their inception, for example, Moses married an Ethiopian woman, Numbers Chp.12 verse 1; "And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married; for he had married an Ethiopian woman".

In the Nefirst, and sought to kill him. Eventually they accepted and became a strong nation that pledged never to attack Ethiopia.
